Printscorpio is a family business that has been operating since 1984. We are a flag factory-textile print shop, and we manufacture various products for VirQ, from biodegradable sponge cloths to scarves.

As the only printing house in Finland and the Nordic countries, we print on natural fibers, such as cotton and linen, with reactive colors that withstand washing and abrasion. In addition, we print durable visibility products for both outdoor and indoor use. We have a tight-knit community of about 20 people working here.
Our collaboration with VirQ began over 10 years ago, but my first encounter with VirQ was much earlier, although at that time I didn't know what company it was.
During my student years, my friend worked in Imatra for the summer and when she returned to Helsinki, she brought two absolutely lovely pillowcases as souvenirs. However, the manufacturer's name / label was not found on the pillowcases and their manufacturer remained a mystery. These pillowcases have been in use ever since, and especially when the children were small, the pillowcases were in constant use because the cute pictures were to the children's liking.
Nostalgic pillowcases from the early days of VirQ
When we started collaborating with VirQ, I remembered these pillowcases. When the VirQ people visited our factory, I showed them the pillowcases and it turned out that they were indeed drawn by Tiina at a time when VirQ did not yet have their own wash labels.
Today, we manufacture pillowcases for VirQ, which are digitally printed with wash and abrasion-resistant reactive colors on high-quality cotton satin. The VirQ logo and washing instructions are printed on the reverse of these pillowcases, so the information is sure to be kept safe throughout the long life of the pillowcases.
In addition to pillowcases, we manufacture for VirQ, among other things, kitchen towels, biodegradable sponge cloths, scarves, and metric fabric for various products such as shoes and bags.

All our fabric products are manufactured from printing to sewing in Aitoo, Pirkanmaa, and the products have the Key Flag symbol. The products can be washed at 60°C and the colorful patterns retain their brightness from wash to wash.

Since 2010, we have used only renewable electricity in all our operations, and in May 2018, 228 solar panels were installed on the roof of our factory, which produce just over a quarter of our electricity consumption. We are constantly renewing our production and have invested in equipment that allows us to significantly reduce water and energy consumption.

Collaboration with VirQ has been smooth, joyful, and straightforward from the start. I visited the Imatra store for the first time last fall and what a color splendor awaited there! Around the coffee table upstairs, in inspiring company and surroundings, time flew by. I hope to get to Imatra for a color bath again soon!
